Norman Podhoretz was essentially “Mr. Neo-Conservative in the 1980’s. Not that he was alone, by any means, but he was an articulate and representative spokesman for the neo-con movement of the time.
The article linked below was written in 1982, less than two years into the Reagan presidency. I find it interesting, in the light of later history, to see what it was the neo-cons liked, and didn’t like, about Ronald Reagan; and more important, what their aspirations were for the US, Israel, and the world; and how that has played out.
